MAGICAL NO-PRESSURE NEEDED – TIP
FAQ
Q) Are SRU stylus tips made of foam or rubber - like 90% of all other stylus are made from?
A) SRU tips are NOT made of conductive rubber or foam or anything remotely related.
Q) Does the SRU tip have any properties that could scratch the screen?
A) Not one! They're made of a soft – non metal substance will never scratch any screen.
Q) How is it SRU tips require zero downward pressure – and 100% of all other tips do require pressure?
A) Unfortunately that’s classified and patented – but a fact: 100% of all our stylus do NOT require any pressure at all: Just the users hand - directing it where they want it to go. This does NOT mean you can’t apply normal pen writing pressure – only that it is not needed.
Q) Is there any screen/stylus “drag”?
A) Zero drag. In place – SRU tips glide over the screen - equal to sliding a feather tip over glass. Click on email below.

A) Zero drag. In place – SRU tips glide over the screen - equal to sliding a feather tip over glass. Click on email below.
Q) What would be the writing/usage angle of an SRU stylus?
A) Anywhere from 25 degrees to 85 degrees - which is a large variance and plenty adequate.
Q) Is there any noise created when using any SRU stylus?
A) No noise at all - at any time!
Q) Do they glide so easily – they wander in ones hand so you have to be careful it doesn’t go - where you don’t want it to go?
A) Not in the slightest. It only goes where the user directs it.
Q) Are SRU stylus/tips - good for playing games where lots of fast tapping could be required?
A) We have two stylus (THE GAMER & THE KIDS STYLUS) that are made specifically for fast dashing around the screen - that can take a good deal of screen abuse. They're made specifically for hard use - either by gamers or kids - and are strongly recommended for anyone who prefers hard use - and you can use pressure - though you don't have to. You should refrain from using any of our other stylus for games - (or by kids) unless the game requires a sliding action - as in Angry Birds. Any game that only requires a "tap or sliding" - you can use any our stylus on.
Q) Are SRU stylus/tips good for drawing?
A) With no one at SRU even decent at drawing - this question can only be answered in this way. If you click on the link to the left titled ARTIST DRAWINGS - you'll see several that were drawn by various customers who used our stylus. Whether you can draw that well using an SRU stylus - all depends on how good you are.
Q) Does SRU have replacement tips?
A) Replacement anything - is only required for two reasons. One: The user ruined the product by NOT following instructions. Ruin anything – and it's time to buy a new one. That’s just a fact of life with any product. Follow the instructions (with our stylus - as in - light touch) and "ruin" plays no part of owning or using a SRU stylus. Or secondly - the item wore out: Something that would be very difficult to do with our stylus tip - IF used as directed. Proper usage of SRU stylus - "wore it out" - isn't an option. However – any SRU stylus purchased after 9-24-12 has a lifetime warranty anyway so fear not. We do not have - nor does our stylus require replacement tips.
Q) What happens if we damage our tip on a stylus we purchased from SRU. Can you fix it?
A) Prior to 9-24-12 – we have a one year free repair on any of our stylus. After that date – lifetime warranty.
Q) Does an SRU stylus/tip require any maintenance?
A) If one follows the light touch instructions - none of our tips require any maintenance. We have a new - updated tip - appearing on all SRU stylus - that make them 99.99% maintenance free - and depending on being used properly - 100% maintenance free.
Q) Why does SRU push the telescoping model stylus so much?
A) To find this answer - you would need to read our page called – "OUR RECOMMENDATIONS” - though please finish this page first.
Q) We’ve read where SRU tips don’t skip? Is that true?
A) Absolutely! Mis-activations are caused by the issues seen on our page called... “MOST ACTIVATIONS ON YOUR DEVICE” as well as most screen protectors. This information will greatly assist any touch-screen user – no matter which company’s stylus they use.
Q) Does the SRU stylus work with screen protectors?
A) All SRU stylus work perfect with the GHOST ARMOR and ZAGG screen protectors but others have not been tested and therefore aren’t recommended.
Q) Can SRU tips make fine lines?
A) Surprisingly enough - many aren't aware of the fact - it is NOT a stylus that makes fine lines. If that sounds inaccurate - you would then be saying - the finger (what all of the touch-screen devices were originally made to be used by) can't draw a fine line. Does that sound logical? Because if you acquire a "yes" to that - you would then also be saying - that all of the app designers (clearly knowing everyone wants to take notes and draw detailed items) are making their apps - without the ability to draw fine lines - but rather relying on the stylus to do that instead. If you have a drawing - art - or note taking app - open it and you'll see - there's a fine adjustment in every app that makes lines. So fine - even a fat finger can draw the finest lines.
Point: Our stylus can draw the smoothest - non-skipping - non-dragging thinnest line - any app has the ABILITY (the ability) to draw. Why? Because fine lines are one of the features in EVERY app - that has the option of making lines - proven so - by the fact - a finger can draw thread like lines. Obviously - if a fat finger can draw fine lines - our stylus can draw super fine lines. In fact - you can even draw fine lines -with your elbow – (or even your knee) if you have the app set to draw fine lines. This being the case - you should know - it is NOT the stylus that makes fine lines. It is the app in question - and the fine line adjustment you've it set on - will give you the thread like lines you want. This is just one of the reasons our stylus is so great for note taking.
Never forget - the perfect combination for note-taking - is - in no special order: The ability to draw fine lines - and the ability to do so - smoothly - without SKIPPING - without dragging - and more effortlessly - than even a ball point pen or pencil. All of our stylus can do just that - and - as hard as it may be to accept - is the only stylus that can.
Q) Is it difficult to learn how to use a SRU stylus?
A) Not in the slightest. Please read our page titled..."SRU EASY TO USE" - (after completing this page) – as well as check out the YOUTUBE videos on this site and you’ll see – nothing could be simpler.
Q) We’ve seen some really nice looking pen type stylus - similar to some of the SRU ones in B.B - and cheaper: Why shouldn’t we buy those?
A) First: As the saying goes - we get exactly what we pay for. Secondly: 90% of all other stylus - use rubber tips - no matter how attractive the pen/holder is. Two representatives from SRU recently went to a BB and were stunned to see a chrome pen (type) stylus - that was really beautiful - very attractive - and positively an attempted copy of one of our pens (but only in design: not tip). They opened the box and tried it on the demo iPad and it actually didn’t work too badly. Closer inspection revealed why? Companies are abandoning their initial application that use to be a solid foam or rubber tip (requiring a good deal of pressure) and they're now cutting their tips in the shape of a half tennis ball - so it looks like a bowl - as a desperate attempt to acquire our no-pressure-needed tip results.
Unfortunately - they're still made of RUBBER. The problem is - SRU has tested this very tip - and the rubber is so thin – it breaks in a short time. Just a tad of common sense would dictate – you can’t slide anything made of rubber - over a piece of glass (screen) without it dragging. And – in doing so – bending the tiny rubber piece back and forth until it breaks – will take place very soon. Amazon is filled with reviews telling of these tips breaking. To see if you have a stylus with this tip – you can squeeze the tip - and if you have one – you’ll feel it compress very easily. It is also only held in place by its edges - snapped on over a ring of metal - or in other words - it also comes off very easily - along with wearing out and breaking. Another way of knowing if you have one of these newer generation rubber tips - is it'll be broken in a very short time.
On one hand - you think - when you buy one of these rubber tipped stylus – you finally found what you were looking for. Yet on the other hand - later – you’re back here - buying from us - after adding that stylus to your drawer of rejects. Fact!
Q) Are SRU stylus made in America?
A) It is mentioned on our site - we make all of our stylus out of pens and other devices produced elsewhere. Our end of the manufacturing - is the tip - and they’re all made in America – thus making SRU responsible for the entire device.
Q) If one does note-taking - like 90% of the time on their touch screen device – which stylus is best to get?
A) Positively one with a cap.
Q) If one was to do like 50% note taking and 50% just playing on the device – which one should we buy?
A) As we say all over our web site – where our stylus all use the exact same tip – it is purely preference which you choose. However – if note-taking is not your main goal – we strongly recommend a telescoping stylus - for reasons found on the page called OUR RECOMMENDATIONS. But - if taking our stylus out of your home and using it any and everywhere is your thing - you MUST get a capped stylus.
Q) What is the return policy of SRU stylus?
A) It’s best to read that on our return policy page - but in brief – you get a 30 day money back refund - less S&H – like everywhere else.
Q) Are SRU stylus tips delicate?
A) Not in the slightest. They’re as rugged as any other stylus tip - and far more so - than 85% of them.
Q) Why are SRU stylus so expensive?
A) Undoubtedly - it wouldn’t be the first time you've heard - you get exactly what you pay for. We wonder the same of a Maserati – but understand why they cost so much. The answer is simple. Locate the link called - FORUM REVIEWS and you’ll have your answer. Just one problem is – because so many people have purchased all of these other stylus for only a few dollars – only to see they aren’t worth anything – you assume our stylus are the same. Just read five reviews on that page (if not all) and you’ll see – there is no other stylus in the world – like an SRU stylus - or - as our customers say it...
