WHICH TYPE OF STYLUS SHOULD I GET
Though we refrain from making recommendations – we will say this. Basically - we have three kinds of stylus: The telescoping - capped stylus and non-capped stylus. The confusion in narrowing it down to which type is right for you is – whether you're shopping for a small touch screen device (cell phone or iPod) or a large screen device such as the iPad or Xoom - both requiring a different type of stylus.
If you only have a small screen device – you don’t need a telescoping stylus. A capped or uncapped model will work fine - raising the question – which of the two should you get: capped or uncapped? If you plan on using your stylus away from your residence – then a capped stylus is best - to protect the tip when out and about. If you don’t take your small screen device away from home – then a non-capped stylus is adequate.
If – on the other hand – you only have a large screen device – and you're NOT primarily into “note-taking” – then you should consider the telescoping stylus for reasons explained on the link below.
The beauty of telescoping – is the fact - you have a pen size stylus (when retracted) and a long stylus when extended. If you use your large screen device at work – school – etc. – for note taking or art work – you should consider a capped stylus. Whereas – if you don’t take your large screen device out of the house – telescoping is the only way to go - as you'll see when reading the below link.
The most important thing to remember is – all our stylus use the very same – no-pressure needed tip – making the holder you select – 100% preference.
